State of tech

The current state of the industry is turbulent: widespread offshoring is preventing new local talent from entering the profession while also threatening the quality of work. In America, there are concerns about the H1B visa cap being significantly raised. Although decreased work quality is the most well-known consequence, the short-term quality/cost ratio remains too attractive for employers to resist.

It will be interesting to see how this all unfolds in the new year. In any case, I’ll continue to encourage good coding standards to do justice to my profession.
